Daoust, Fraser join pro-am United card May 12

Daoust, Fraser join pro-am United card May 12

What was already a highly anticipated United Boxing Promotions card on May 12 just got that much more interesting.

Late last week, the promotions announced that their card from the Hershey Centre will feature top amateur standouts Joshua Frazer and Jake Daoust, both of which are former national champions.

The card is also expected to feature eight professional bouts, including United Boxing Promotions standouts Brandon Cook and Josh O’Reilly.

Daoust will take on Angel Vasquez, while Fraser takes on Manuel Martinez, both of Mexico.

For both fighters, it will likely serve as one of the largest live audiences they’ve ever competed in front of.

Fraser, a native of Mississauga, was a 2017 national champion who has his eyes on an Olympic berth in 2020.  Daoust represented Canada at the World Youth Championships in 2016 and has since emerged as one of Canada’s finest amateur boxers.
