Lee Baxter card in Niagara Falls moved from May 19 to June 2
If you were looking forward to Lee Baxter Promotion’s debut in Niagara Falls, you’ll have to wait just a few extra weeks.
Baxter confirmed to FightON that the promotions’ debut show in Niagara Falls will be moving from May 19 to June to help accommodate the Adonis Stevenson vs. Badou Jack card taking place the same night at the Air Canada Centre.
All of the bouts previously scheduled for the card are still expected to take place.
“Yvon and I have done a lot of business together, we have a personal relationship. I had the date and Showtime had dedicated to that date already, they didn’t want to move the TV,” said Baxter. “Adonis Stevenson was adamant about the fight taking place in Toronto. We sat down and said that if I can postpone my show, then we’ll make it work.”
Baxter will serve as lead promoter for the Stevenson vs. Jack bout.
The card for June 2 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre will be headlined by Dierry Jean vs. Juan Armando Garcia and a WBA-NABA Welterweight title bout between Samuel Vargas and Julio De Jesus. Also expected for the card is a bout between Ontario’s Zsolt Daranyi Jr. and Diego Adrian Marocchi. Other talent scheduled includes Kristian Prenga, Josh Lupia and a debuting Vladan Radovanovic.
